International Student Services

Non-Canadian students may need a bit of assistance adjusting to life in Canada and studying at Providence.

We're here to help!

Orientation sessions, which are mandatory for all new International students, are given at the beginning of each term (September and January) to help prepare students for their studies at Providence. Beyond orientation, we provide ongoing assistance and support for students dealing with immigration (consultations, renewal, and/or acquiring documents), medical visits and international health insurance, and for the many cross-cultural issues that arise during the school year. We also train our Resident Assistants in cultural sensitivity and strive to meet the needs of our international students by planning events such as international chapel, various cultural nights and Missio Dei which feature the diversity of our student body.
