The first few days of our new school year are designed to help new students acclimatize to university life and to welcome back our returning students. Students have opportunities to tour the campus, complete paperwork, finalize payments, receive residence keys, get a student photo taken, receive a library card and gain access to the fitness centre. Students may also learn more about and sign up for performing arts or athletic opportunities on campus.
Follow the fun on social media!
Students will participate in academic orientation (mandatory for all new students) which is a great way to learn about Providence, meet faculty and staff and be well equipped for your academic studies.
In past years, we have had a weekend full of outdoor games and activities including bubble soccer, relay races, and our very own Prov Cup Challenge! We've also had a Kick-Off Concert featuring bands such as The City Harmonic, Scribe and The Color! This concert is free and open to all students, staff and faculty as well as the general public.
Student leaders, international students, aviation students and athletes will want to pay special attention to the weeks leading up to Welcome Week. Student Leadership Training Week, International Orientation, Aviation Flight Camp and Athletic Tryouts happen during the week before Welcome Week.
All Seminary students and faculty are invited to join together to connect with God and with one another. The day includes a fantastic teaching and story sharing time, refreshing worship, quiet reflection, and of course, space for fun and connecting with your Seminary peers! To RSVP, please fill out our Seminary Fall Retreat Registration Form.
