Latin American Indigenous Student Bursary

Amount based on number awarded each year

Available to support Latin American Indigenous students (who are active members of a Latin American Indigenous community) that demonstrate financial need and are committed to using their education to support their Indigenous people group following graduation.

In order to receive the above bursary, students must meet the following criteria/requirements. This bursary is awarded equally between two semesters (fall and winter). Each year, the bursary will be equally distributed between the applicants who fully meet the requirements and therefore the value of the bursary may change.

• Applicants must demonstrate financial need by completing our “Demonstration of Financial Need” form
• Applicants are required to provide at least two letters of recommendation by Indigenous community leaders
• Applicants must demonstrate leadership and experience in community service
• Applicants must be active members of a Latin American Indigenous Community (Communidad Indigena)
• Applicants must meet the minimum APGA requirements of 2.0
