Class Cancellation and Emergency Closure

At times, emergencies such as severe weather, fire or power failures can temporarily disrupt operations.

Providence will decide on class cancellation and closure based on the best available information. Providence will announce cancellations and closures on the Providence web page and communicate the same to all students via email and text message. In the event of winter weather cancellations, we will post the information before 7:00 a.m. Students are expected to check the Providence Home Page and their Populi accounts for more detailed and updated information.

School Closure

When the RCMP closes the highways (59 and/or 75), the school will be closed. Food services will still be available when the school has been closed.

Class Cancellation

When main highways to campus are not recommended for travel, classes will be cancelled. The school will remain open.

In all circumstances of class cancellation, evening classes, rehearsals and practices will be cancelled as well. Students are expected to check the Providence website and the campus wall on the Providence app.
