Class Cancellation and Emergency Closure

At times, emergencies such as severe weather, fire or power failures can temporarily disrupt operations.

Providence will decide on class cancellation and closure based on the best available information. Providence will announce cancellations and closures on the Providence web page and communicate the same to all students via email and text message. In the event of winter weather cancellations, we will post the information before 7:00 a.m. Students are expected to check their emails and their Populi accounts for more detailed and updated information and to find out if their class has been moved online.

Campus Closure

When the RCMP closes the highways (59 and/or 75), the campus will be closed. Food services will still be available when the campus has been closed. The library will not be available. Classes may continue online at the discretion of the instructor.

Class Cancellation

When main highways to campus are not recommended for travel, classes will be cancelled. The school will remain open, and we will make every effort to ensure that services are available to students (including the library).

In all circumstances of class cancellation, evening classes, rehearsals and practices will be cancelled as well. Classes may continue online at the discretion of the instructor.
