At Providence, we care about life and learning outside the classroom just as much as inside. We'll help you adjust to life at university as well as care for your physical, emotional, psychological and social well-being during your stay! Have questions about international student services, off-campus employment, career services or counselling? Maybe you're looking for a tutor or some research help? We can help you access these and other services.

We have a multi-purpose Help Request Form which students can use to request help for the following student services-related concerns:

  • General inquiries
  • Providence account issues
  • Guard.Me Health Insurance issues
  • Winnipeg Transit Post-Secondary Peggo Card issues
  • Document/package pick-up request from Otterburne

Processing time may take up to 7-10 business days depending on the departments involved.

We live together according to the Covenant of Community Life and as co-owners of our mission.

Use the Health, Safety, and Well-Being Report to communicate any concerns about a student's well-being to connect them to the available support and resources. You have the option to report anonymously.

Use the Accountability Incident Report to document any potential violations of our Covenant of Community Life. You have the option to report anonymously.

Get the support you need during your time at Providence! Whether you think your needs are big or small, we're here to help. Our counselling services are available to all Providence students. Counselling provides students with the opportunity to pursue personal growth and to receive assistance while working through difficult experiences.To request our counselling services, please email Counselling@prov.ca and our Intake Counsellor, Angelle Arinobu, will help you connect with the help that you need.

Counselling Services are also available through your Guard.me insurance at keep.meSAFE. You can access the program at https://myssp.app/keepmesafe/ca/home. They have counsellors available 24/7 that you can contact through their app, their website, or by phone. Support is available in many different languages so that you can speak to a counsellor in the language you feel most comfortable.

Students must go to https://www.guard.me/pc to purchase their health insurance at a discounted rate. A month of health insurance costs $68.44. Guard.Me accepts Visa Debit and major credit cards as payment method.

To avoid forgetting to renew your health insurance, it is advisable to purchase a 20-month coverage at the beginning of your program. To know the renewal deadlines, check the Providence Downtown Student Life group on Populi.

mobileDOCTOR by Guard.Me

Students can have online medical check-ups through Guard.Me’s mobileDOCTOR application, accessible via laptop, phone, or tablet. This is a 24/7 free service. To avail this service, go to MobileDOCTOR - Providence University College&Theological Seminary | guard.me and follow the instructions on how to register and download the app.

Students can also download a visitor’s record for free, which they can submit to their professors if required.

Students may fill out the Post-Secondary Peggo Card form to purchase a Peggo Card and participate in the Winnipeg Transit discount program for post-secondary students. Requests will only be processed on the deadlines for each Term. When your card is ready, you will receive an email notification.

Students who wish to use the free on-campus printing & scanning services may fill out this FORM.

Processing time may take up to 2-4 business days. We cannot speed up this free service. Once your print-out is ready for pick up at the Help Desk, you will receive notification from the Student Life Department via your Prov email.

Print-outs that are not picked-up after 7 business days will be shredded and discarded.

Students who would like to use the Winnipeg Transit System Post-Secondary Discount Program and borrow books or on-campus laptops will need a Student ID Card. Use this form to request an ID.

Processing time may take up to 7-10 business days. Once your card is ready for pick up at the Help Desk, you will receive notification from the Student Life Department via your Prov email or Populi Group.

Student Life provides many volunteer placement opportunities on campus including Campus Ambassadors, House Managers, Student Council, Student Services Volunteers, Student Club Officers, Peer Tutors, Birthday Organizers and Campus Photographers. Serving your campus is one of the best ways to get involved and connected with our intercultural community of learners.

Academic learning is a whole new way of life, but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. There are tips, strategies, and techniques that make it more manageable and sometimes even more enjoyable.
